Arizona AG files suit to save homeowner from equity-stripping scheme

Escrow company found largely liable after homebuyers fall victim to scam

Two homebuyers who fell victim to a wire fraud scam in 2020 were granted $1.2 million relief on April 7 when the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego filed a ruling declaring the escrow company to be at majority fault for the fraudulent transaction.

FTC issues noncompete warning to mortgage servicer
