Valerie Grandin

Valerie Jahn Grandin is Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Counsel at Alliant National Title Insurance Company. Prior to joining Alliant National in 2024, Ms. Grandin served as Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Counsel at Doma Title Insurance f/k/a North American Title Insurance Company from 2014 -2024. In that role she served as part of the Doma Senior Management Team leading the company’s national underwriting team and had primary responsibility for underwriting and risk-based decisions; premium rate manual and forms development in 49 states; and reinsurance. Ms. Grandin played a key role in the company’s expansion efforts, taking the company from 14 to 49 operational states and the District of Columbia during her tenure.
Ms. Grandin’s resume also includes Senior Underwriting Counsel for Commercial Services at Attorneys’ Title Fund Services, a division of Old Republic Title Insurance Company. Before becoming a title insurance underwriting counsel, Ms. Grandin practiced in the areas of commercial real estate, bankruptcy and commercial litigation with the firms Shutts & Bowen, Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP and Graham, Builder, Jones, Pratt and Marks, n/k/a Burr Forman. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Miami School of Law’s Robert Traurig, Greenberg Traurig, LL.M. graduate program in Real Property Development and lectures in that program on Title Insurance. A member of the Florida Bar and a Board-Certified Real Estate Lawyer, Ms. Grandin is active in many state land title associations, the Florida Bar and has served on several committees of the Florida Bar and the American Land Title Association (ALTA) including Reinsurance, Government Affairs, and NAIC Liaison. Recently appointed as a member of the Title Report Advisory Editorial Board she is also a proud member of Women in Title (WIT) and has been an engaged participant in Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network since 2007.

Jenny Martin

Jenny Martin is RVP for First American Title Insurance Co’s National Agency Operations. Jenny also serves the American Land Title Association (ALTA) as a board member of the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation, secretary of the Abstracters and Title Insurance Agents Section Executive Committee, co-chair of the ALTA Registry Committee, co-chair of the ALTA Membership Retention Sub-Committee, and member of the ALTA Membership Committee.
Prior to joining First American in 2026, Jenny served as chief business development officer and national division manager for Futura Title & Escrow in Boise, Idaho. With a career spanning more than 30 years in the title industry, Jenny has held key operational, business development and management roles, demonstrating a commitment to the industry with a passion for growth.
Jenny graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Business Administration. In addition to her leadership within the title industry, Jenny serves on the Board of Directors and Downtown Development Taskforce for the Treasure Valley YMCA in Boise.
Jenny enjoys spending time with family and friends and participating in many of the outdoor activities that the Northwest has to offer.
