In Pung v. Isabella County, Supreme Court considers next question after Tyler

In what is shaping up to be another landmark case in the field of excess equity foreclosures, Pung v. Isabella County will go before the Supreme Court later this year. While Tyler v. Hennepin County asked whether excess equity belongs to the property owner when the government takes a property, Pung asks how much that property owner is owed.


FinCEN finalizes final rule delaying AML reporting requirement for investment advisors

Solidifying plans made last fall, the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network finalized a rule delaying enforcement of its Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism Program for registered investment advisers and exempt reporting advisers until 2028.

Court hears challenge against Arkansas law regulating title agents

Texas to reduce title insurance rates in March
