On June 20, the Shawnee, Kansas Municipal Court went live with a new case management system that increases the quality of service to the public, streamlines court processes, and will deliver a substantial long term return on investment for the court and the city.
“The city’s partnership with Pioneer Technology Group (PTG) has been very positive, and the Benchmark system has greatly streamlined our workflow,” said Stephen Powell, city clerk in Shawnee. “Benchmark allowed us to become one of the first municipal courts in the state to go paperless, has saved a considerable amount of staff time, and allowed the court to provide better, more reliable, customer service.”
The Benchmark case management system provides real time online collaboration between courts, judges, public defenders, attorneys and other case stakeholders and qualified parties. With a significant market share in Florida, the Shawnee, Kansas installation follows the selection of the system earlier this year by courts in Florida, Ohio, Georgia and Alabama. The company is now also active in Colorado, New York, New Hampshire, Virginia, Maryland, Michigan and Utah as the result of selection of its new Official Records System, Landmark, and the company’s secure title insurance document system, YourDox.
“We're excited to add Shawnee, Kansas to our growing family of Benchmark users," said Steve Rumsey, president of PTG. "Our paperless court solutions and robust web access are setting new standards for court case management, and our conversion and implementation expertise was really highlighted, delivering a quick and seamless installation in the Shawnee Municipal Court."
