Aspen Title & Escrow, LLC, a title insurance and closing services provider based in Knoxville, Tenn., has announced a data breach that has so far impacted four customers in Massachusetts and two in New Hampshire.
The incident was disclosed to state authorities starting on March 12, including the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation and the New Hampshire Attorney General.
After a review, Aspen determined that the compromised data included first and last names, Social Security numbers and financial account information. The breach was traced back to network disruptions recorded in August of 2025. Unauthorized access to certain systems was confirmed during these incidents.
Aspen began an investigation with the help of third-party computer forensic specialists and notified law enforcement. The company spent several months reviewing the impacted data and identifying affected individuals. This process was completed by Feb. 2.
To support those affected, Aspen is offering complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services for up to 24 months, depending on the state. Impacted individuals have received instructions on how to enroll in these services at no cost.
The company’s notification letters also provide detailed steps for placing fraud alerts or credit freezes with the major credit bureaus, as well as resources for reporting suspected identity theft.
