Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) Director Anita Fox announced Tina Nacy has been promoted to serve as the new director of the Office of Insurance Rates and Forms (ORIF).
“Tina Nacy is a highly dedicated public servant and leader, and I am pleased that in this new role, she will continue to serve Michigan residents on behalf of the department,” Fox said. “Prior to joining DIFS in 2019, Tina had nearly three decades of insurance industry experience, which has helped the department improve processes and successfully implement new consumer protections. I am confident that she will continue to move DIFS forward in her new role.”
Nacy joined DIFS in February 2019, overseeing the rate and form filing review section within the OIRF. Prior to joining DIFS, Nacy spent nearly 20 years working with one of the nation’s largest insurance carriers and more than seven years with the Michigan Automobile Insurance Placement Facility. She holds a bachelor’s degree in executive management from Cleary University.
In her new role, Nacy will oversee the OIRF, which is responsible for enforcing Michigan’s insurance statutes and regulations pertaining to rates and forms submitted by insurance companies and other licensed entities.
