The National Association of Insurance Commissioners announced that its 2020 Fall National Meeting will be held virtually. It was initially scheduled to be held in Indianapolis. Due to the ongoing health challenges that are being associated with holding large in-person meetings in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, NAIC officers, in consultation with NAIC members, have decided to proceed with planning for the meeting in a virtual format.
“The health and safety of attendees was the most important factor in making the decision to hold this meeting virtually,” said NAIC President and South Carolina Department of Insurance Director Ray Farmer. “While we are disappointed that we will not be able to meet in person, we were pleased by the participation in the Summer National Meeting and expect a high level of engagement at this meeting as well.”
The NAIC is planning a full and interactive agenda for the fall meeting. A schedule with specific dates and times will be available on naic.org by the end of September. Registration for the Fall National Meeting will open the week of Sept. 22. Additional information regarding the 2020 NAIC Fall National Meeting will be announced as it becomes available.
