Receiver claims quitclaim deed extinguishes equitable lien

A women who rebated her commission as a buyer’s sales associate to the purchase price of property that later was found to be part of a fraudulent scheme was asked by the receiver handling distribution of assets to quitclaim her interest. She did, but only if she did not waive her right to an equitable lien. The receiver later claimed the quitclaim deed extinguished her equitable interest.
