West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice signed legislation that requires surveyors to offer to record surveys of property. The bill, HB 4721, was sponsored by Del. Roy Cooper, R-Summers.
It adds the following to Section 30-13A-10, “The licensee shall offer to record the map or plat of the measurements of the survey, for a reasonable fee, for the client in the office of the clerk of the county commission of the county in which the land is located.”
