Owners sue title insurer over undisclosed landmark designation

After purchasing property in New York City, the new owners of the property discovered the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) had designated the property as a landmark, impeding the new owners’ plans for the property. They filed a claim with their title insurer, which was denied. They then sued their title insurer for breach of coverage and negligence.
