Disbarred attorney sentenced for mortgage fraud scheme

A disbarred Rhode Island real estate attorney was sentenced to a year in prison and three years’ supervised release for his role in a $1.1 million mortgage fraud scheme in which he received three mortgages based on false information. Read on for more details.
