Maine considers RON legislation

Legislative Developments, Remote Online Notarization

The Maine Legislature is considering a bill that would implement the recommendation of the secretary of state’s study on remote and online notarization. The bill, based on the Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts, has the support of both the American Land Title Association and Mortgage Bankers Association.
