CATIC was certified as a “Great Place to Work” for the first time. The award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at the business. This year, 95 percent of CATIC employees said it’s a great place to work, 38 points higher than the average U.S. company.
“Great Place to Work Certification isn’t something that comes easily – it takes ongoing dedication to the employee experience,” Great Place to Work Vice President of Global Recognition Sarah Lewis-Kulin said in a release. “It’s the only official recognition determined by employees’ real-time reports of their company culture. Earning this designation means that CATIC is one of the best companies to work for in the country.”
“We truly value the voice of our employees and always encourage them to share their own ideas for continuously improving the workplace culture at CATIC,” CATIC SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer Damon Carter said. “Consequently, many of our current employee programs have been inspired by direct feedback obtained from our employees, which has enhanced the overall employee experience here at CATIC.”
Some of those programs include the “Apple Pancakes Awards” for employees who have been acknowledged by either customers or other CATIC employees for demonstrating exemplary customer service that has positively impacted others; a parental leave policy earlier that provides 12 weeks of paid leave time; a PTO donation policy, which allows employees to donate unused paid-time off to fellow co-workers who may need it, and an employee-led social justice committee called “The Initiative” to begin actively addressing racial inequality in homeownership.
