Two New York counties, Oswego and Madison, have adopted eRecording with Simplifile.
Oswego County Clerk Michael Backus said he was excited to begin eRecording and looks forward to streamlining more services and cut costs. Madison County Clerk Denise Roe agreed.
“eRecording shortens recording timelines, reduces document rejections, streamlines accounts and reduces postage and paper usage,” she said. “It moves documents into the public record faster. Constituents have the convenience of filing anytime, anywhere, saving travel time and expense.”
In both counties, title companies, banks, attorneys and other document submitters will have the option to electronically prepare, scan or upload and submit documents to the clerk’s office for recording.
They join more than 25 other eRecording counties in New York that adopted Simplifile’s service.
