Alliant National Title Insurance Co., a title insurance underwriter partnering with independent agents, appointed Tom Weyant as continuous improvement manager. Weyant brings more than 30 years of experience in quality control, internal auditing and project management.
He spent most of his career with IBM, and then worked with Ball Corp. for five years before joining Alliant National this spring. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
“Tom’s extensive knowledge and experience in quality, internal audit and project management makes him an excellent addition to our team,” said Kyle Rank, chief compliance officer.
He is charged with leading the company’s efforts for continuous improvement and process development of quality assurance systems. He will teach and coach staff and agents how to better apply quality tools and methods, and also conduct internal process audits and manage the company’s action management process. He will also lead the team responsible for Alliant National’s SSAE 16 assessments.
“Alliant National Title Co. fully supports its independent agent partners,” Weyant said. “As the continuous improvement manager, I’m honored to be a part of that support and to help our independent agents offer high-quality service to their clients.”
“Tom is an excellent choice to assist us in meeting our goal to provide evidence of the quality of our independent agents operations through audited systems that lenders can rely on,” said Alliant National’s chief executive officer Robert Grubb. “Alliant National is the only title insurance underwriter in the nation to provide an independent audit of its agent oversight systems and make it available to lenders.”
