Corporation Service Company (CSC), a provider of electronic document recording or e-recording for document submitters and government recording offices nationwide, added an optical character recognition (OCR) enhancement to its e-recording application. Users can now select any amount of full-text data and copy it with ease.
OCR technology translates image data into text and adds it to the selected indexing fields, even parsing address information into the appropriate field. Document submitters no longer have to retype information from scanned documents into indexing fields. Instead they can copy and paste.
“We’re excited to share this enhancement with our customers,” said Mark Rosser, vice president for CSC. “CSC is the only provider to offer this feature to document submitters. As usual, we’re leading the industry in technology and service.”
This is the first of a full slate of enhancements planned for 2014 that will help document submitters and recording offices save time, money and resources.
“We’re focused on bringing easier and more efficient solutions to the document recording industry,” Rosser said. “Our workflow services just keep getting better, and there’s no end in sight.”
