Statewide Abstract Corp., a family owned title agency headquartered in White Plains, N.Y., kicked off its 35th year by promoting a key executive, Connie Alimena, to regional vice president. Alimena operates from the New York City office and is known for her relationship-building talents which allow her to pair leaders in the real estate industry including investors, lenders, brokers, attorneys and clients and solidify real estate deals.
After graduating from New York Law School, she developed an interest in real estate and began to work at a Westchester, N.Y.-based mortgage company. In 2006, she joined Statewide Abstract.
“Alimena’s professional and incomparable customer service separate her from others in her field and her seasoned expertise keeps clients returning to Statewide for their title insurance needs,” said Kenneth Meccia, president of Statewide Abstract.
The company also announced the hiring of Mari Anastos as account executive in the White Plains, N.Y., office. Anastos has 20 years of experience as a legal assistant in the title industry.
“Unlike many AEs in the business, Mari’s first-hand knowledge ensures she understands every aspect of the title process and can get involved at any level to guarantee the transaction moves smoothly and swiftly to closing,” Meccia said.
For the past five years, Anastos conducted title insurance seminars for area real estate firms which have led to relationships with Realtors throughout the New York tri-state area. She has been a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors and is currently a member of the Westchester County Board of Realtors and Business Network International.
