Westcor Land Title Insurance Co. announced that Richard Bramhall has joined the company’s senior management team. Bramhall, who recently worked for Bank of America, will have the title of senior underwriter and director of national services, which includes the newly formed Lender Service Group.  This group was created to merge the strength of Westcor as a national underwriter with the expertise of its local agents, delivering consistently excellent services to the lender community.

For the past 10 years, Bramhall served as chief title officer at Bank of America, where he provided title underwriting guidance for the LandSafe Services Division. A veteran of the multi-state title industry, Bramhall was the original title agency counsel for Chesapeake Appraisal & Settlement Services, one of the first lender-owned vendor management companies, and has served as a member of the board of the Real Estate Services Providers Council (RESPRO), the Title and Appraisal Vendor Management Association (TAVMA), and is the immediate past president of the Property Records Industry Association (PRIA). He is also a contributing editor for Ernst Publishing, publisher of the Real Estate Recording Guide. Bramhall is a graduate of Princeton University and Emory University School of Law.

“We are excited that Richard will bring experience and stability to the National Services Group,” said Mary O’Donnell, president and chief executive officer.  “Richard’s experience in the national lender market is unparalleled.”

Westcor, a Florida-based company, was founded in 1993, and the company has recognized a 150 percent increase in premiums written over the last five years as continued underwriter consolidation has driven the need for independent agent support. Westcor is currently licensed in 40 states and the District of Columbia.
