Rhode Island court hears slander of title dispute

After purchasing a lot in Lincoln, R.I., a man realized he needed access to several neighbors’ properties to build a house and develop his land. The neighbors filed a notice of intent in the land records to protect their land. The man filed suit, claiming the neighbors, and their lawyer, slandered his title.
