RESPRO announces 2012 officers

The Real Estate Services Providers Council Inc.’s (RESPRO) Board of Directors has elected Mark Steele, president of Howard Hanna Financial Services in Pittsburgh, Pa., as its 2012 RESPRO Chairman.

Steele oversees the affiliated business operations of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services and is president of Howard Hanna Mortgage Services. Howard Hanna’s Core Services Group includes mortgage, title, insurance, land survey and appraisal. In the 2010 Real Trends Survey Hanna ranked 4th in closed real estate transactions, 5th in mortgage closings, 8th in title closings and 1st in insurance policies providing a combined total of 30,000 settlement service transactions for consumers. Steele also sits on the Executive Committee for Hanna Holdings, the parent company of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services and its affiliates.

The board also elected Barbara Griest, president of Trident Land Transfer Company, the country’s fourth largest real estate- owned title insurance agency and affiliated title operation for Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors located in Devon, Pa., as its 2012 Vice Chair.

Other 2012 RESPRO officers elected by the board include President Susan Johnson, executive director of RESPRO in Washington, D.C.; Secretary Tom Klein, senior vice president and regional manager of WFG National Title Insurance Company in Richmond, Va., and Treasurer George Eastment III, vice chairman of Long & Foster Companies in Chantilly, Va.

2011 RESPRO Chairman Tim Wilson, president of Affiliated Businesses of Long & Foster Companies in Chantilly, Va., and 2010 Chairman Kevin Breeland, senior vice president of Residential Mortgage, LLC will continue to serve on RESPRO’s leadership team through its Executive Committee.
